About

The First United Methodist Church of St. Clair has one of the longest histories in the area. The congregation saw its beginnings over 180 years ago. Once located in the area of the current Post Office, the church located to its current home at the corner of 3rd and Vine Streets prior to 1900.

While we have a long legacy to celebrate, we understand our place in the Kingdom of God to be a church in ministry and mission in the here and now. We reach out into our community and the world through the local food pantry, the support of the Mid City Nutrition, our work in Haiti, and many more. We strive to be your church.

We enjoy rich worship experiences, and are always ready to extend the hand of fellowship to those who would join us. It is our practice to celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of every month, and count it one of our highest privileges to invite everyone to the table. We love to sing to the Lord, and incorporate both traditional and more contemporary music in worship.

Wherever you find yourself on the journey with God, we invite you to come, and connect again.

Grace and Peace,Pastor Don Gotham
